Taneij’a Baldwin

Architectual Intern

Taneij’a was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she was given the opportunity and support to discover her love for sports. With her athletic abilities, she traveled to many places, introducing her to various intricate buildings, increasing her interest in design. Taneij’a has fond memories of being infatuated with the vast designs she navigated through and saw as she rode down the road. That curiosity guided her path to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to study the idea of sustainable, functional, and innovative solutions in design. She is going into her 5th and final year of undergrad to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in Spring 2025. She has already begun tackling the challenge of licensure by acquiring needed hours of experience, and she will begin the additional requirements after graduation.

Away from the office, Taneij’a enjoys competitive sporting events, trying new restaurants, and staying fit. Spending time with her family is always on her list when free time presents itself, as an only child, she cherishes time spent with the ones she loves. As a student, she is involved in many organizations that cater to the improvement of the community and volunteers often to engage with people from all walks of life. She believes it is important to connect with individuals to hear a new perspective, and challenging thought, or have a fun, interactive conversation. It improves design by collaborating with people unlike yourself to resemble the world around us.

As an Architectural Intern at GSBS Architects, Taneij’a will use this opportunity to design and develop spaces that uplift communities. She plans to use her attention to detail to draft, model, or do another task needed to move a project along!
