GSL Electric Headquarters is a 22,000 SF, two-story office building located in Sandy, Utah. The project is situated adjacent to a 30% slope, a defining site condition that significantly influenced the building's planning, massing, and overall design. Careful consideration of the site's constraints informed a solution that maximizes both functionality and spatial experience. The building is oriented to capitalize on expansive views of the Oquirrh Mountains to the west while framing vistas of the Wasatch Range to the east. Generous glazed openings establish a visual east to west corridor, strengthening the connection between the interior environment and its surroundings while providing generous daylight throughout the workspace. The exterior is composed of brick masonry and aluminum composite material (ACM) panels, creating a modern aesthetic that balances durability, texture, and timeless character.
