Nick Chilton

Architecture

Nick was born in New Mexico and raised in the hills of Bountiful, Utah. After earning his undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Utah, he pursued dual master's degrees at Washington University in St. Louis, a Masters in Architecture and a Masters in Construction Management, with formative experiences living in Helsinki and Barcelona where he studied furniture design and urban design.

Outside of his professional work, Nick resides in Ogden, Utah with his wife Natalee, their 14-month-old son Banks, and two dogs, Kayto and Ferdinand. A lifelong skier with 33 years on the slopes, he regularly mountain bikes and enjoys film photography, fly fishing, and backpacking throughout Utah's mountains and deserts. His varied interests reflect the same curiosity and attention to detail that drive his architectural work, which spans from intimate furniture design and sculpture projects to large-scale collegiate athletics facilities, master plans, and office buildings.

At GSBS, Nick continues his pursuit of design excellence across all scales and functions. His unique background in both architecture and computational design, combined with his international experience and hands-on approach to problem solving, allows him to tackle GSBS's diverse projects as an architect and designer, with both creative vision and practical expertise.
