FORT WORTH BOTANIC GARDEN TEXAS NATIVE FOREST BOARDWALK

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden Native Forest Boardwalk is an elevated walkway that threads through the trees, offering views into the urban forest with minimal environmental impact. Interactive interpretive signage along the route educates visitors about the ecosystem below. As part of GSBS’s broader landscape architecture work—including the Rock Springs Park restoration—the boardwalk enhances the visitor experience while preserving habitat and promoting awareness of native species. Designed to respect the garden’s original character, the project incorporates native Texas plants arranged for varied color, texture, and seasonal interest, and reflects GSBS’s commitment to sustainable, accessible design in natural settings.
