In August of 2002 the Utah State Division of Facility Construction and Management selected GSBS to design the first building for Utah Valley State College's new campus in the Wasatch Mountains. GSBS assisted UVSC in realizing its goal of launching a far-reaching project without compromising the fulfillment of immediate needs or the inherent aesthetic beauty of a stunning site. GSBS met this challenge inspired by the landscape itself, as well as the lines and forms of the historic buildings situated in the lovely surrounding valley, and ultimately produced a design that is not only functional, but incorporates the best of the sustainable architecture movement as well.
