GSBS co-authored the Weber County needs assessment study and participated in the ad hoc committee appointed by the county commission to develop the master plan for the facility. GSBS then designed the facility with a very cost-effective approach: compared to a national average cost of over $75,000 per bed, the Weber facility—one of the largest in the state—was built for $26,570 per bed. The complex is located on a 40-acre site with expansion capability of four additional housing units. A Sheriff's office and emergency operations center are also part of this building.
