architect / project manager
Libby Haslam grew up in São Paulo, Brazil. She received her Master’s of Architecture at the University of Utah. A licensed architect in the USA, she has been teaching design studio at the School of Architecture (University of Utah) since 2002. Libby joined the GSBS staff in 2006.
The same year, Libby moved to Bluff, Utah where, with her husband, she ran a semester of DesignBuildBluff—a Design/Build program for architecture students that builds houses on the Navajo Reservation. Libby is interested in architecture that has a social, environmental and physical conscious. She believes that the built environment should force users to question how they should interact with spaces—whether designed, natural or serendipitous.
