asla / LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Growing up in Cache Valley, Utah, Ladd witnessed much of the local farmland change from open fields to city. These changes piqued his interest in the planning and growth of cities, as well as the interaction of people and their built environment. As a young teenager, Ladd realized that his fascination with cities as well as his natural love of plants and the outdoors combined in the profession of landscape architecture. He earned his degree in Landscape Architecture at the Utah State University followed by a master in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois two years later.
Ladd’s career has increased his love for the industry and sharpened his skills as a designer, planner and lover of nature. He offers a well-rounded range of landscape services from community design down to the details required to construct it. Whether working to design intimate courtyards or acres of land in a large development, Ladd recognizes the importance of making a place functionally responsible yet beautifully creative. He works to achieve his client’s desires within the constraints of the community in an environmentally responsible way – all the while expressing his passion for plants and the built environment.
