architect / principal
Born in Orange, California, Justin spent his first fifteen years roaming the world with his older brother and father, a US Marine Corp instructor then recruiting officer. With stints in glamourous locales up and down the middle States like Joplin, MO and Arkoma, OK—along with one year in Okinawa, Japan—he finally settled in to a more stable life in Sandy, UT.
Justin began his career in architecture working for a local residential design firm as a junior in high school. After graduating from Alta High School, he spent a few years working at a local firm before finding a home at GSBS Architects in early 1998.
Justin is a licensed architect in the State of Idaho, member of the American Institute of Architects and proud father of two fantastic kids. He spends his time outside the office hiking and mountain biking around Utah in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
Notable project with GSBS Architects include:
• Salt Lake Public Safety Building
• Xactware Corporate Headquarters
• Newmont Long Canyon Mine Facilities
• Big D Corporate Office Building – LEED Gold Certified
• Rio Tinto Distribution Center – LEED Gold Certified
