Garth Shaw is passionate about improving building performance to increase occupant wellness and protect the environment. He holds an undergraduate degree in structural engineering, hinting at his exceptional skills and aptitude for technical challenges and complicated projects. Having been with GSBS for more than 25 years, he strives to leverage his past experiences while remaining open to new ideas, building technologies, and processes.

At GSBS, Garth leads the Higher Education and Science & Technology market sectors. He also directs firm-wide efforts to continuously improve the environmental performance and resiliency of the firm’s projects.

At home, Garth enjoys crafting sound in a synthesizer-based home studio—a throw-back to his new-wave high school and college bands. Garth also loves to ski with family and friends and spend time in his home state of Wyoming.
