marketing / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Writer. Mother. Minister. Hopeless Romantic. Endless Dreamer. Slight Control Freak. Lifelong Comedienne.
In a nutshell, that’s who I am. In reality, I’m a slightly sarcastic, creative introvert/extrovert who joined my eclectic GSBS family in November 2006. My first office Christmas party two weeks later included Apple Martinis, stolen desserts and a very politically incorrect slideshow. I knew I had come to the right place.
I love how others say, “In my spare time…” I’m still waiting on that. My job description could be summed up in four words, “Other duties as assigned.” When I’m not writing fabulous copy for proposals and brochures or putting together presentations, the staff expects me to keep the office running. It’s a role I welcome, as I have a slight need to rule the world—and my dad DID always tell me I could do whatever I put my mind to.
This comes in handy as I play ring leader to the circus that is my home life. I successfully (and some days unsuccessfully) wrangle two rambunctious boys, sometimes resorting to bribery and extortion. I love God and seriously think we are his favorite sitcom. Faith in Him keeps me from running away to Jamaica, but I haven’t ruled this out for my future. I think my retirement includes a beach, some great escapist fiction, a lounge chair, an umbrella, hot sand under my feet, a cold drink in my hand and my phone to keep me in touch with the outside world when it suits me.
I live life by two mantras: “Laughter is good for the soul” and “It is what it is.” These are the titles to multiple chapters of this book I’m living called “The Beautiful, Ordinary Life of the Fabulous Fran.” When I finally publish said manuscript, I will insist the cover includes multiple stunning shots of my favorite stilettos and nail polish colors from my exceptional and slightly overstocked nail polish collection.
