Having lived in Utah his entire life, Curtis is only now getting sick of the cold snowy winters. As he has gotten older, his love for golf, summertime, and above 70 degree weather has grown as much as his appreciation for Utah’s scenery and wide variety of options for outdoor activity.
Married in 2012, Curtis and his wife Candice spend more time in a tent and fishing raft than their own living room. When he isn’t working, playing golf, or starting a new project at home, he is most likely with Candice somewhere in the Uintas, camping with their dogs Odie and Butter.
After high school, Curtis attended Salt Lake Community College with the goal of transferring to the U of U for their architecture program. While going through the program, he fell in love with the drafting software that they were starting to teach. His new passion became BIM and the progression of software in the field of Architecture.
He finished at SLCC with his second associates in early 2013 and started his drafting career at a small local structural engineering firm. He then spent the next year and a half learning about the world of structures and how buildings are built. In September 2014, Curtis joined the GSBS family to focus more on what he fell in love with at school—3D modeling. Curtis has now worked on a variety of projects and continues his education of design and BIM through his experiences at GSBS.
