Brandon has been the Architectural Illustrator at GSBS since 2001. He uses Photoshop and 3D MAX to create interior and exterior renderings, site plans, floor plans, elevations, and even some animations. Brandon also does graphic design and has designed advertisements, t-shirts, awards, signage, and logos among other things.
Brandon made it as far as his senior year at the University of Utah studying Political Science. In college, he considered himself a “Pre-Law” student. He’s pretty glad that didn’t pan out.
In his spare time, Brandon was always a bit of an artist—painting, sketching, and taking photos. When the opportunity came to create art professionally, he was hesitant at first—never having been creative on demand. Today, he gets to be creative every day and “wouldn’t trade places with anyone in the office.”
Brandon’s passion is motorsports—as a spectator, driver and instructor. A total car nut, he has owned about 30 different cars—including 5 Porsches that he competitively races. He joined the Porsche Club of America in ’95, where he’s been a driving and autocross instructor. Brandon has proudly taken 1st place in more than 130 different car races. He occasionally participates in car shows, taking 1st place in the Utah Concours d’Elegance and 3rd and 4th in two National Porsche Club car shows. He designed the Porsche Club of America - Drivers Education logo.
Brandon loves camping, backpacking, hanging out with family and friends, and most of all, making people laugh. “I think one of the most important things I do each day is make others laugh.”
Brandon has been a part of hundreds of projects. “I am usually most proud of my last project. I always look forward to the next one, trying to improve on each graphic I create.” Brandon has had renderings on TV, in the newspaper as well as local architectural and construction magazines. Some of his renderings hang as art in buildings GSBS designed.
