Born in Carlsbad, Sydney has lived in Salt Lake City since 2002 and considers herself a Utah native. She graduated from the Urban Ecology program at the University of Utah in 2016. As a planner, she is intensely interested in the interaction between people and their built urban environments. Her passion for planning originates from her passion for her community.
Prior to working at GSBS, Sydney studied planning, journalism, and marketing and worked in User Interface Design at a marketing, design, and UX focused firm.
In her free time, she focuses on balancing her life enjoying the SLC community, knitting in various local coffee shops, photographing nature and people, and spending time with family and friends.
Sydney is a member of the American Planning Association
