STACY BUTCHER

Interior Designer

Born and raised in Utah, Stacy began her design education in high school learning basic interior design elements and principles. Finding joy and passion in this field, she later graduated with a BS in Interior Design from Utah State University where she was able to learn from amazing instructors. Stacy started working for GSBS in 2006 immediately upon graduation for several years. After taking some time away to attend to her family and develop skills in other disciplines of design, she returned to GSBS in December of 2021 and is thrilled to be back working for the best architecture firm (with the best people) EVER.

Stacy enjoys challenging herself creatively and learning something new from each project. Yes, that sounds cheesy, but she believes that existing exclusively within your comfort zone has a cost whereas approaching each design problem with curiosity and a desire to push creativity to its bounds always pays off in the end.

Outside of work, Stacy enjoys adventuring with her two sons and husband. Some of her favorite adventures are hiking in the Wasatch or exploring national parks. Balance is important to Stacy so when she isn’t out adventuring with her family, she can be found cozy at home working on a puzzle, baking with her kids, or having impromptu dance parties in the kitchen.
