A Kansas girl through and through, Melissa grew up in the greater Kansas City area and continued her studies at Kansas State University (K-State). From the young age of twelve Melissa always knew she wanted to be an architect and make the world a better place through design. She recently finished her Master in Architecture and Music minor at K-State and is currently working toward licensure.
In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, choreographing, swimming, baking desserts, trying new things, and singing classical works, opera, and modern day pieces for fun. Hikes in Kansas were just long walks on flat ground, but she hopes she can soon add true hiking and skiing to that list of hobbies. In addition to her many hobbies, Melissa is most happy when she is talking to people and getting to know them. There is nothing more exciting than people and their stories!
