Jeff Coons

Landscape Architecture / Student Intern

Jeff has spent a significant amount of time in the mountains and deserts of Utah hiking, camping, and exploring the nooks and crannies of the natural world. That, combined with his work at several summer camps, gave him a deep appreciation for the natural world and our connection to it. So naturally that lead him to the field of landscape architecture where he could apply it to built environments.

When Jeff isn’t working, he spends his time with his wife, exploring and soaking in the beauty of the world around us. He also enjoys a good book, video game, or sketching something that he saw on an adventure. Jeff is returning to the University of New Mexico in the fall to finish the last year of his master’s degree with support from his wife Amanda, his family, and Aztec, their newly adopted cat.

Jeff is an intern for GSBS in Salt Lake City, helping wherever he can doing CAD work, graphic representation, and proposals. He loves representing what the future looks like, communicating it with clients, and providing the tools to bring the natural world into the built.
