Beatriz (betty) Garcia FREER

ARCHITECTURE / Emerging professional

Betty was born in Las Vegas, Nevada – growing up her family traveled in and out of the country before settling in Utah. Betty received her Masters in Architecture at the University of Utah in 2021 and has been with GSBS since 2020. She considers this as one of her greatest achievements, as she is the first in her family to achieve higher than a high school education.

She enjoys living for the small moments, whether that is star gazing, exploring Utah’s great outdoors, or trying new restaurants and experiencing different cultures through food. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her family creating memories.

As an emerging professional at GSBS, Betty participates in various phases of the architectural design process and embraces the challenge of problem solving, exploring alternative solutions that align with client’s vision. She models three-dimensional buildings and prepares two-dimensional construction documentation. She particularly loves providing graphic visualizations to communicate initial strategic studies, concept diagrams, illustrations, 3D renderings and designs visually compelling presentations to tell a story.
