Hassan grew up in Tehran, one of the world’s largest metropolitan areas. Living there for two decades, he became interested in the architecture and the city's urban spaces, its challenges, and opportunities.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture in Isfahan, a historic city of Iran known for its beauty, where he developed his design skills at the academic and professional level. He graduated with M.Arch degree and Urban Design Certificate from the University of Utah School of Architecture + Planning in 2013. Immediately following graduation, he was selected to be part of the ChicagoLAB program, an intense summer-long design and research studio collaboration between the University of Utah, SOM, and CannonDesign, to work on an urban design project in Uptown Chicago. He then returned to Salt Lake City to work at Prescott Muir Architects for four years prior to joining GSBS. Hassan is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Metropolitan Planning, Policy and Design at the University of Utah.
