Annaka Egan

Planning Intern

Annaka graduated from the University of Utah 2016 with undergraduate degrees in Environmental and Sustainability Studies as well as Urban Ecology. She utilized her two degrees by taking a year to ski too much and work mediocre service jobs.

In 2017, she realized how difficult it is to make a living skiing and decided to return to school to work on a graduate degree in City and Metropolitan Planning at the University of Utah. Annaka is currently finishing her degree and specializing in Transportation and Smart Growth and holds a special interest in active transportation.

After working on sustainable urbanization initiatives on both Salt Lake and India, Annaka is fascinated with the complex ways in which city form and development impacts social, environmental, and economic systems within cities. When she is not working or in school, Annaka enjoys (attempts) cooking and hanging out with her indoor plant collection.
